Friends and fans of Gillette Children's might want to get to the ballpark a little early during the Twins Sunday home games at Target Field. That's because Gillette is teaming up with the Twins to sponsor Kids Day, a family friendly event featuring special experiences for young baseball fans.
Moments before the official game begins on the field people in the stadium will see a new video on the Target Field jumbotron highlighting what makes Gillette special and showcasing some of our patients working hard to discover what they can achieve. You can preview the video here.
Right after this emotional video plays a Gillette patient will join Twins first baseman, Joe Mauer, to score the first ceremonial run of the game. The duo will run from third base to home plate. We hope this brings lots of luck to the Twins!
Other Kids Day activities include the Kids Fun Zone outside of Gate 29, featuring inflatable interactives, a poster making station and free face painting. Kids 12 and under can also get free player autographs before the game at a designated area. Postgame, kids can run the bases.
